Beech Lumber – Dry Beech Boards
In Poland, we are a leader in the production of unedged hardwood lumber in thicknesses of 26-70mm.
Beech Lumber from MGJ
It is sourced from timber harvested in the Darżlubsk-Oliwskie forests, considered by many to be one of the best beech stands in Poland.
Beech lumber is characterized by a low incidence of false heartwood and a uniform color.
To meet our customers’ requirements, we offer beech lumber in the following versions: white-dried (8-12%) and lightly steamed (8-12%). Additionally, we can provide lumber that undergoes a full steaming process (8-12%) upon special request. Furthermore, we can produce custom dimensions based on individual orders.
White Beech Lumber (n/o) is offered in the following thicknesses:
- Dry: 26, 28, 32, 38, 45, 50, 55 mm in all quality grades

APPLICATIONS OF BEECH WOOD
Beech wood has been used in many products, such as agricultural plows, wooden wheel parts and spokes, yokes for carts, and many others. Its applications were universal and effective wherever high resistance to damage and durability were required.
Currently, beech lumber is used in furniture making (frameworks for upholstered furniture, parts for bent furniture), as well as in solid beech wood furniture. Processing beech lumber requires careful dust removal, as beech wood dust is carcinogenic.
WHAT IS BEECH LUMBER MADE FROM?
Beech lumber is sourced from common beech (Fagus sylvatica), which typically grows to a height of 20-30 m. Young specimens have smooth, ashen bark that is pleasant to the touch. Young beech shoots have numerous hairs, and their leaves are glossy and dark green, shaped like a point. In autumn, beeches change color to yellow and later to brown, partially retaining their leaves during winter. Mature trees produce a substance called beech mast. An adult tree grows about 50 cm annually.
